Dorćol Platz is a new cultural center located in the lower part of Dorćol, the former industrial district.

The trend of putting new life in the lower part of the old district, Dorćol, did not stop yet. On the 21st of May, on this year’s Belgrade Museum Night, Dorćol Platz has opened their gates for the very first time.

Few friends, who live and work in this area created out of the closed Minelransport Company a 1.600 m² art oasis, where they want to be inspiration and technical support for creative people.

There are two hangars and a big outdoor Platz (square). The first space, called kliker (engl. marble) is dedicated to all children. A lot of educational events made especially for kids will happen here. The second space is the work and chill corner during the day, where people can enjoy their coffees and/or work on their laptops. At night, there will be different events and parties with local and international DJs. But it will also get one of Belgrade’s new theater spots with an extraordinary repertoire.

The grand opening will be on the 9th of June accompanied by Milena Pavlović’s theater play “Pismo ili Glava” (engl.: Letter or Head). All in all, Belgrade got a new awesome art hotspot, where a lot of creative things will happen, such as theater plays, exhibitions, workshops and parties of course.
