Just when you thought you’d mapped out all the places you still need to check out in Belgrade, here’s another one to add to your list: Kaste Bar is Belgrade’s new hidden gem located on the Slavija Square. The bar can be described as a calm oasis in the midst of the busy roundabout circle.

Once you enter the low-key door, you’ll find yourself in rooms packed with vintage bits and bobs. There is a vinyl corner with a heap of different records for everyone’s taste and original and unique family pictures hanging on the wall. The whole atmosphere will make you believe that you’re in a living room of a very cool person.

The word kaste means in south Italian dialect home. Hence, the whole underlying concept is to make you feel at home. And indeed, there is a very laid back vibe at this cosy place. The constant presence of interesting people passing through its doors makes Kaste a very quirky little place: equally perfect for a coffee whilst working away online during the day or indulging yourself to some refreshing drinks later on in the day and evening.

This adorable hangout serves classic but high quality cocktails and home made food inspired by original Italian recipes. For Happy Hour, which is between 6 pm and 9 pm they serve an Aperitivo all’ Italiana which means that you are getting Italian canapes with every drink you order. Oh, brace yourself for a surprise when you see their garden.
