One adress – lots of bars

From the outside it seems like a huge parking lot. But once you go in and pass by the car wash, you will find yourself in the midst of some really cool bars. This place is located in a complex of a converted beer factory, next to the Bohemian quarter of Belgrade, called Skadarlija. At night, and especially during weekends this place turns into a party Mecca.

Zaokret is the first bar on the left. It has a huge community table, where people can even get round to doing some online work absorbing the nice atmosphere around them but this applies for only during the day, because the massive table turns into a bar at night. So, this place is not only a cute coffee spot to seize a few relaxing moments during the day, but also a club and a ‘concert hall’ of its sort. Most of the time they play indie and alternative music, like on the legendary Kišobran parties they’ ve organized for 8 years in different clubs. Once a week Zaokret hosts a Radio Show and if you are lucky, you will experience the Zaokret quiz. You see, there seems to be something to match everyone’s taste here . They have a huge selection of beers and the admission is always free.

Polet

If you go on walking straight ahead, you will reach Polet. A bar, a club and a gallery at the same time. This is a place for creative minds, artists and everyone who feels like being part of it. Polet brings new art concepts and performances to Belgrade, which seem to have been missing until now. In Polet you will hear interesting music like acoustics and classical music mixed with the finest electronic beats or electro blues. Especially the swing/electro swing parties inspired by the 1930s are over the top. You cannot seem to ever get bored with this place, because you are bound to find something new in there each and every time: from poetry evenings to theme nights and film screenings. Their living room  atmosphere will make you come back again. 

Showroom Live Belgrade

Showroom is a multifunctional place, which organizes contemporary culture and art events. This includes theater and dance performances, European competitions of singers and bands, festivals, concerts, exhibitions and so on. Showroom offers their huge space for the rehearsals of different artists. First and foremost, they want to support young newcomers and give them a chance. So, every day from 10 am until 8 pm everyone can use Showroom as a co-working place before it turns into a nightclub.

Klub Dvorištance

Klub Dvorištance is an old place in a new location. You will recognize it by its colourful walls. It has a huge outdoor area, which will make you feel as if you have ‘got away from it all’. At night this cute place also turns into a club with nice DJ sounds and tunes. But you can also get to watch sport events on their big indoor screen.

Elektropionir

Elektropionir like the other bars has its daytime version as well, which you can see in the picture above. The Club opened its doors for the first time at the end of March 2016. Since then there have always been people queueing to get in, because they literally are loving it. At the beginning of April the Rockband Hexvessel from Finland had their concert at Elektropionir.

Kenozoik

Kenozoik is a great club situated in yet another closed down but converted factory. Besides all night parties with famous DJs, they organize horror night evenings, where they show the latest and classic horror movies on a big screen. They’ve got 2 stages and the admission is forbidden for the under 23s.
